Keeping in Touch July 2024
A very warm welcome to all our friends and colleagues reading this Newsletter, thank you, if you know of others to whom you think its content would be of interest, please do share it.
We have been busy with our service delivery as always and we sometimes get very excited by our year end figures (well some of us do !)
Our 1 to 1 Service provided an impressive 6,490 hours of support to individuals, 250 people had a holiday at one of our Seaside caravans, 251 children and young people used our Out & About Service and we engaged with 1,685 individuals with 465 being supported in groups.
The end of the school term is fast approaching, perhaps with some mixed blessings, We know that for some children and young people these transitions and goodbyes are not always straightforward.
We do however hope that you have a good summer break whatever you are doing and we really look forward to welcoming you back in the Autumn.

Funding
We are so happy to announce that Lynne Barton the founder of Entrust has been successful in securing some grant funding for Friendship Group. This means the group can run for another academic year September 24-July 25.
Thank you to both Wigley Community Fund and Wesleyan administered by The Heart of England Community Foundation for supporting Friendship Group, we really appreciate your faith in us and it will make such a difference.

We have been busy spending time with our friends in the group and have been delighted to welcome new faces.
The groups have enjoyed Cooking, Bingo, Play your Cards Right, Quiz Night, Celebrating World Turtle Day the Gaming Bus, decorating Tiles and lots more.
Thank you to our wonderful volunteers Dona and Sophie, we love seeing you every week and your support is so integral to the group. Also Thank you to all the staff we are so very lucky.

Friendship Group
In a room aglow with Thursday's eve,
A sanctuary where spirits weave,
Gather young hearts with diverse stories,
Crafting moments, sharing glories.
By the hands of Lynne, and the dreams she weaves,
Zoë’s smile, where hope believes,
Dannii’s laughter, a joyous tide,
Diane's wisdom, a steadfast guide.
Sam’s cheeky smile, ever so bright,
Jo’s compassion, pure delight,
Volunteers with hearts so true,
Dona and Sophie always in view.
Grants like golden threads of light,
Bind their efforts, shining bright,
In this haven, they create,
A world where love will resonate.
Disabilities seen not as chains,
But unique rhythms, joyful refrains,
Here, every voice finds a song,
Every soul feels they belong.
Thursday’s eve, a time so dear,
Filled with laughter, far and near,
Friendship blossoms in this space,
Every heart finds its place.

Pathway to Employment
PRESS RELEASE
Entrust Care Partnership: Pathway to Employment receives five-year funding
Warwickshire based not-for-profit organisation, Entrust Care Partnership, dedicated to meeting the needs of disabled children, young people, adults and their carers, is celebrating securing five years of National Lottery funding to support their Pathway to Employment initiative. Pathway to Employment supports people with additional needs to gain employment and greater independence. The Reaching Communities grant will be used to fund two staff members to work with people with additional needs and local employers to create inclusive work opportunities in Warwickshire.
The Pathway to Employment initiative provides real work experience for trainees in community cafes, supported by experienced staff. Working at their own pace, trainees are supported every step of their journey into employment, taking transferable skills into a wide range of workplaces.

Trampolining

Volunteering with Entrust Care Partnership
We are very blessed to have the most amazing team of volunteers that help and support in all aspects of life at Entrust. They give us their time willingly and have a hugely positive impact on the lives of the young people that they support. Thanks to funding from the wonderful Children in Need
Did you know ?
· Our volunteer service launched in October 2014 and later this year we look forward to celebrating 10 years.
· That the two first volunteers to join the service when we launched, continue to offer support on a weekly basis (watch out for shout outs later in the year)
· That our Directors are volunteers, everything they do, all the hours they give to ensure we have funding and can offer opportunities to children, young people, adults and their families they do as volunteers.
· One of our fabulous volunteers has been supporting the same family for 7 years and has offered them approximately 728 hours of support.
· Volunteers support our parents with counselling sessions, support young people with counselling, coach at our Spartans football team, support our Little Acorns play and stay as well as offering support at friendship group and playschemes.
Watch out for volunteers shout outs in the run up to our 10 year anniversary.
